Also, he has a lot of ranking points to defend in clay court tournaments, all of which he may not be able to. The Australian Open is one chance for Fedex to grab some points as a win here will result in a lot of extra points. Last year, he had made it to the final and in case he can bag this one, I am sure it will be a lot tougher to dislodge the champion in the rankings table.
Coming to the contenders, Rafa (23) seems a shadow of his former self ever since he came back from a knee injury and Del Potro seems erratic. He still lacks the conviction to be the number one and is not consistent enough. The good thing for Del Potro is that he is young (21) and is massively talented. Djokovic (22) seems to be playing better of late but was easily crushed by Fedex (28) in the US Open Semi Final! As for Murray (22), he is very consistent (or was consistent till the US Open at least) but I feel he does not have the conviction that he can win a Grand Slam yet. Do you guys feel I have missed on some other player who can be a serious candidate for the number one position next year?

Djokovic-Murray
So, Keedas, do you feel 2010 will see the continuing dominance of Roger Federer over the world of Tennis or could we see a new world number by the end of 2010?
