1. It was a proud moment for India when the National Anthem was sung thrice in the Boxing Stadium at Dhaka during the South Asian Games today, as all the three Indian Boxers who participated became Champions in their respective Weight Categories by winning Gold Medals.
2. In the 48 kgs class, Amandeep Singh defeated Md Arif Arif of Afghanistan on pts 7:2 in the finals today and won the Gold. In the semifinals yesterday, Amandeep had defeated Md Mashiur Rahman of Bangladesh by RSC.
3. In the 51 kgs class finals, Suranjoy Singh defeated Md Wazim of Pakistan on pts11-4 and got the Gold. Yesterday in the semifinals he had defeated Lacchman of Nepal by RSC.
4. In the 57 kgs, Chhote Lal defeated Md Fayzal Mullah of Bangladesh on pts 6-2 and got the Gold. In the semifinals yesterday, he had defeated Saman Priyadarshan of Sri Lanka by RSC (H) in the 2ndRound.
5. India had fielded a total of 3 boxers in South Asian Games 2010 and all three have returned with Gold Medals.
