Transfers: Milan's efforts to keep Ronaldinho comes a cropper.

Ronaldinho was at his best when at Barcelona

Reports suggesting that AC Milan is accepting a bid for Ronaldinho comes barely a week after the club supremo Silvio Berlusconi claimed that Milan will never sell their star midfielder and that Ronaldinho was committed to Milan for life. There has been interest reported from LA Galaxy and Palmeiras for one of the most recognizable figures in the game. LA Galaxy and Palmeiras both have lodged an €8 million bid for Ronaldinho with conflicting news coming from different quarters over the possible transfer of the midfielder.

Ronaldinho was at his best when at Barcelona

Ronaldinho joined AC Milan from Barcelona in July 2008 but wasn’t able to replicate his success which brought him the FIFA Player of the Year award with Barcelona. With Kaka being the more prominent playmaker Ronaldinho was subdued and later struggled with injuries. After the transfer of Kaka to Real Madrid, Ronaldinho enjoyed a more successful season with Milan netting 15 goals in the process. Despite the good form he showed he was overlooked for the world cup.

The presence of David Beckham and London Donovan could tempt Ronaldinho to join LA Galaxy or he can return to his homeland to join Palmeiras. The possible situation will be clear in the next few days. The one thing for sure is Ronaldinho is not extending his contract with AC Milan.
