Robinho Led Brazil Lose To Argentina

Robinho: poor performances

Robinho: poor performances

This is surely not the way. Brazil lost to Argentina 1-0 in a friendly match played in Doha yesterday. (Messi scored in stoppage time in the second half). Leaving aside the bad view of the Brazilians, it’s amazing to see how the team five times world champion has some “sacred cows”. A player like Robinho from AC Milan is inefficient, without firepower and does not have the quality to perform the role of team captain.

The 26 years old is one of the most overrated players in world football. The millionaire Robinho never show regularity in his career. He is arrogant enough to think that one day he could become the world’s best player without playing even half as good as Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi has been playing for years.

Now, Brazilians have to watch him as the captain and star of the team coached by Mano Menezes. Protected by big agents and sponsors, Robinho is one of the biggest farces from brazilian football on the last 10 years. Moreover, the media-hero Ronaldinho walked on the pitch like a pop-star in this game. His lack of ambition and eagerness to relax was visible at every moment of the match. Some sources claim that his presence was a whim of the arab sheikhs, who demanded that his presence on ground to attract public and paid 5 million dollars for Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

It was a friendly game that only served Argentinean Football Association (AFA) and CBF to earn some money from the petrodollars Qataris. Nothing more than that was relevant in this confront. The brazilian people don’t want only a “business team”, but an authentic and beautiful brazilian football.
