The players are banned because of proven charges regarding the test matches which they have played against the England. Now it is proved that Asif and Amir who found guilty in spot fixing deliberately bowled no-balls in the Lord’s test match. There was an involvement of former captain Salman Butt in the whole scam and it is proved by the ICC tribunal.

ICC tribunal which is headed by Michael Beloff banned Butt for ten years, Asif for seven years and Amir for five years.

The reason behind the whole scam is to earn more money and all the three players who have done this for financial gain only.

The ICC tribunal ordered them that they will have to participate in an anti-corruption program conducted by PCB.

The Pakistan trio has 21 days now to appeal against the decision of ICC tribunal in the court of Arbitration for sport at Switzerland.
