Chelsea are preparing a bid to sign 20 year old winger Eden Hazard from French Ligue1 side Lille.
Hazard played a crucial part in his team’s title winning campaign last season and has been a transfer target of many premier league clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool.
It’s a common knowledge that Chelsea are on a lookout for a midfielder and a winger as Andre Villas Boas aims to bring the premier league trophy back to Stamford Bridge this season. Chelsea have already offloaded Russian Yuri Zhirkov and now have a spot vacant for a foreign player in their 25man squad.
Having already missed out on signing Javier Pastore from Palermo, Chelsea are leaving no scope to miss out on another talented player, touted to be future superstar. Chelsea are ready to include Gael Kakuta in a player+cash deal for Hazard and want the transfer to be done as soon as possible. Kakuta was sent on loan to premier league side Fulham in the second half of last season but the French U20 international failed to impress and with the surplus of attacking options at Chelsea, he is pondering his future away from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are also interested in Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric but have had their bid for the Croat turned down more than once by the White Hart Lane outfit.
