Lingerie Football League : Bliss vs Chill Preview

Louie

Ticket prices are steep, but I’m sure plenty of guys will pay to see ladies like this throw each other around.

I’m not going to lie; I’m a fan of the Chicago Bliss…Chicago’s very own Lingerie Football team. Those girls can play ball and look pretty hot doing it. I’m also a pretty big fan of rivalries especially Chicago and Green Bay; and in this case the Bliss and the Chill are goin’ at it Friday (Oct. 7) at Toyota Park. Game starts at 9pm and also airs on MTV2. Both teams are sitting on the fringes of the Western Conference Playoff spot; both teams have also not won a game yet this season.

The Green Bay Chill got crushed against the Seattle Mist in their last game losing 42-8. It may have been due to the inexperience of a team of rookies, but they’re quarterback Anne Erler is claimed to be comparable to that of Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan because of her field vision and mechanics. She’s definitely a clear-cut leader on the team and can significantly impact a win. Statistically, Green Bay has one of the weakest defensive units in the league, allowing an average of 119.5 yards-per-game on the ground and 36.5 points-per-game overall. The Chill defense is anchored by linebacker Rykki Casey and safety Leslie Bowman. These two girls regularly unleash the fiery with hard hits and punishing blows… mind you again all in bras and garters.

The Chicago Bliss also lost their home opener 32-20 to the Las Vegas Sin so they’re not only hoping for a win but also an eventual return trip to the playoffs. They’re going to be heavily relying on their QB Heather Furr who was the 2010-11 LFL MVP. They’ve also got Chris Dell Harris anchoring the running game and talented rookie wide receiver Laura Petersen. On the Bliss defense, veteran and recent addition Yahshi Rice, the sister of former NFL Pro Bowler Simeon Rice, will attempt to control Green Bay’s Melissa De Jesus on the ground while Petersen, Furr and the Chicago secondary try to limit big-play opportunities from the dangerous trio of the Chill’s Erler, Peyton and Zellner.

It should be a good game, but here’s the zinger. I’m a fan of these ladies and support what they do but the cost of a game ticket is $92.35, and that’s general admission!! I didn’t even pay that much for some White Sox games… it’s a bit outrageous but if you want to see these ladies in person that’s the price you’re going to pay.
