Brock Lesnar defended his WWE championship against Eddie Guerrero in a singles match at No Way Out. ‘The Latino Heat’ Eddie Guerrero had earned this opportunity by winning the first Smackdown Rumble match. Eddie, who was the underdog heading into this match, won his first major championship in the WWE. His first WWE championship victory has come after a long match which lasted nearly 30 minutes. Goldberg’s attack on Lesnar turned out to be the perfect foil for Eddie’s victory. Eddie Guerrero would later headline Wrestlemania 20 as the WWE Champion in a match with Kurt Angle.
