In this season it has become starkly visible that with the departure of  Thiery Henry and recently Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregras, Arsenal have suffered from several problems. A star attacking midfielder, a clinical finisher to assist the great RVP and a quality full back with a good defensive midfielder support – these are the sort of players Arsene should look to invest in. The agreement over the transfer fees of Lucas Podolski can prompt a return to the successful two striker formation, but here is what all actually the Gunners Armory requires to chase down the title in some style.

1.Jan Vertonghen:There are actually several reasons for him to be at Emirates. He is the international partner of  Thomas Vermaelen and can play in a variety of positions. You name it, left back, centre back or centre defensive midfield, the Ajax Amsterdam Captain will be ready with his consistent form to play the opponents. After having a horrid time at A.C.Milan he stabilised his career at Bordeaux . Even though he wont come in cheap, He can be the replacement Arsenal wanted for Cesc Fabregras.

3.Eden Hazard: At twenty years of age, this power house package is just the right kind of force The Gunners need in the wings as Nasri’s replacement. He is the fox-in-the-box and puts in some superb effort and eye catching crosses in the penalty area and not afraid to have a shot at the net from a long range. As he is open to EPL switch and both North London rivals are up for him, it will be for him to decide. But its actually no wonder why he has the 20-30 million price tag kept on him.

4.Loic Remy: The center forward can really turn table at Emirates. He is young full of energy and can really score the goals and finish in style, which is an improtant aspect as assist can’t always help the team and there is a need to have players to finish. Signing him can relieve the pressure from Van Persie’s shoulders and make Arsenal relish unbeaten runs again.

5.Marko Marin: Last but not the least of-course is our “German Messi”. Arsenal and Manchester United are linked with this youngstar at Werder Bremen and it’s high time he actually goes big name this summer.With Ozil’s exit from the club we can expect him to leave soon and at Arsenal he can actually be a perfect cover to the inconsistent injury prone star Theo Walcott. At about 15 million or so, he is a real cake up for grabs.
