India’s rising teenager Yuki Bhmabri has upset 8th seed Frederik Nielen in straight sets to reach the second round of the ITF $15K event in Chinese Taipei. Nielsen is ranked about 20 spots higher than the Indian at 272.

Meanwhile at the ITF $10K event in Trichy, 4 Indians have won their second round matches to move into the quarter-finals. Among those winning on Wednesday were 3rd seed Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, 4th seed Sriram Balaji, 6th seed Vijay Sundar Prashanth and Ashwin Vijayragavan. Second seed Ranjeet Virali Murugesan was beaten 6-3, 7-6 by Croat Marin Bradaric.

In Uzbekistan, 5th seed Karan Rastogi beat Denniss Pavlovs 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of ITF $10K event but 3rd seed Vishnu Vardhan lost to Nikoloz Bailashvili 5-7, 6-4, 4-6. And in China, 6th seed Vijayant Malik beat Yuging Ning 6-2, 6-4 to reach the second round of the ITF $10K event.
