After a whirlwind International tour, WWE superstars are back home as this week’s Monday Night Raw Supershow emanates from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It will be a three hour special, but no particular theme has been announced for the show.
Brock-Cena contract signing
Brock Lesnar and John Cena will meet face to face inside the squared circle on Raw for the contract signing of their Extreme Rules match this Sunday at Extreme Rules. We all know how contract signings in the WWE end – physicality between the contenders. Expect this one to be no different.
John Cena on losing to Lord Tensai
Last week, Lord Tensai defeated John Cena via pinfall in a singles match. Cena was blinded by Tensai’s green mist which will be a talking point for John Cena on this week’s Raw. Expect John Cena to come out all cylinders blazing against the Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis who seems to be keen on dethroning John Cena and promoting Brock Lesnar as the face of the WWE.
By the way, John Cena is celebrating his 35th birthday today. Happy Birthday Cena!
This 3-hour Raw special was thought to be reserved for the annual WWE draft which usually takes place during this time of the year. However, there has been no announcements from the WWE regarding the draft. With the brand extension almost coming to an end in this Supershow era, will there be a draft this year? Probably not. But WWE might surprise us.
Extreme Rules hype
With this show being the last Raw before WWE Extreme Rules 2012 PPV, this Sunday, the feuds will be given prominence. Besides the Cena-Lesnar feud, other feuds like Punk-Jericho, Orton-Kane, Sheamus-Bryan will be built further.
Only 4 matches have been announced so far for the Extreme Rules PPV. So we can expect them to announce one or two more matches on Raw.
CM Punk & Cena vs. Jericho & Kane tag-team match has been announced for the local crowd at Detroit.
This Extreme Rules go-home Raw has all the ingredients for an awesome show. But the question is, will it deliver? Watch it to find out.
