India’s Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan has won the ITF $10 Futures title in Madurai on Saturday.

The Indians upset second seed Marc Giner of Spain 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(4) at the Madurai Union Club.

The Spaniard broke at 3-3 in the first set and then held his serve to claim the first set 6-4.

Jeevan then broke his opponent’s serve twice in the second set to win it 6-1.

The third set saw no breaks and the Indian was steadier in the tie brreak to win it by 7-4.

Jeevan won $1300 and 18 ATP points for his efforts this week.

In the doubles final, N. Sriram Balaji and P.C. Vignesh of India beat Andre Gaspar Murta of Portugal and Matthieu Vierin of Italy 7-6(4), 7-6(5).

Meanwhile, at the ITF $15K Futures event in Uzbekistan. third seed Vishnu Vardhan has won the title, beating unseeded Ivan Sergeyev 6-3, 7-6 for his 5th career title on the ITF circuit.
