One shouldn’t take delight in others misfortune, but when the others are fans of the opponent team, well, mock and holler all you want.

Bad day for Clippers fans at the start, but take a look at Memphis fans in the end:

 

Early on the Clippers couldn’t get anything going. But Nick Young went on a run in the second quarter by scoring 10 points, then he had three 3s in the fourth quarter, finishing with 19 points on 9 shots and a +28 on the night. He was one of the main reasons the Clippers won this one.

The Clippers went on a 28-3 run to end the game. A 24-1 run in the fourth quarter. The Memphis lead was 95-71 with seven minutes left. Blake Griffin who has been hovering around shooting 50% for most of the season sank two clutch free throws and in the final seconds Chris Paul put the game away on two free throws after which Rudy Gay missed a jumper over Kenyon Martin’s outstretched hands.

The Clippers have tied the NBA playoff record for largest deficit overcome at the end of three quarters, when they trailed by 21. Chris Paul finished with 14 points and 11 assists, and Griffin added 17.

The LA Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 99-98.

The next game between these two teams will be on 3 March, 7AM on Ten Sports in India. The Heat-Knicks game wasn’t shown on Ten Sports, even though it was scheduled, hopefully this one will be aired.
