India’s Sania Mirza and Australian partner Anastasia Rodionova have moved into the quarter finals of the WTA Estoril Open in Portugal. The Indian-Australian duo beat Eleni Daniilidou and Andreja Klepac 6-2, 6-7, 10-5 to reach the last eight.

In the singles draw, top seed Roberta Vinci and seventh seed Nadia Petrova advanced to the second round. In a match between two teenagers, Brit Heather Watson beat American Sloane Stephens in three spots to book her spot in the main draw.

At the WTA event in Budapest, third seed Tsvetana Pironokova and seventh seed Shahar Peer were upset in the first round.
