The Kerala Football Association has named their final 20 players squad for the 66th edition of the National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy which will be played from May 11 to 27 across Orissa. The Kerala state team has been practising for months, even taking part in tournaments, and replacing earlier chosen players to find the strongest possible combination.
Experienced goalkeeper Joby Joseph has been named as the Kerala captain with M.M. Jacob as the state team coach.
Kerala have been drawn in the preliminary round Cluster II along with Tripura and Himachal Pradesh, and will be playing their matches on May 11 (vs Tripura) and May 15 (vs Himachal Pradesh).
