Jenson Button ended on top of the timesheets at the end os Second practice session in Barcelona. The Brit initially suffered from understeer issues with is Mclaren but managed to sort out the issues and nail a lap good enough to secure first position.

Sebastian Vettel was second on the time-sheets in his Red Bull. The Red Bull driver looked to be continuing from were he left three weeks ago in Bahrain. Nico Rosberg lapped his Mercedes in third place while his teammate Michael Schumacher ended the day eighth fastest.

Lewis Hamilton ended the day fourth fastest after having problems with handling of his Mclaren. He was followed up by the lotus duo of Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean. Both the lotus drivers looked very strong on long runs with very heavy fuel loads. Mark Webber was seventh fastest after an excursion to the gravel trap. He was followed up by the Sauber and Force India of Kamui Kobayashi and Nico Hulkenberg.

Ferrari couldn’t keep with the pace Fernando Alonso showed in the first practice session and ended up in 11th and 14th places respectively for Felipe Massa and Fernado Alonso. The new updates on the F2012 doesn’t seem to be reducing the struggles of the Italian team.

Narain Karthikeyan had his day cut short after mechanical problems with his HRT and ended up 24th and last on the time-sheets.
