Indian duo Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna were beaten in the semi finals of the ATP Madrid Open masters series event on Saturday.

The seventh seeded duo fell to sixth seeds Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau, who needed a match tie-break to overcome win 6-4, 1-6, 10-7 in 76 minutes.

Lindstedt/ Tecau will meet Polish duo Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg in the final.

The Poles upset the top ranked pair of Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor 6-7(3), 7-6(6), 12-10.

At the ITF Futures event in New Delhi, Chei-Pei Lee of Chinese Taipei led 6-4, 1-1 against Natasha Palha when bad weather forced the final to be postponed to Sunday.

After waiting two-and-a-half hours in the evening, after the match had been stopped at 5 p.m. following a dust storm and rain, the tournament referee Puneet Gupta announced the match would resume at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Also, Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan will compete in the final of the ATP Challenger event in Busan on Sunday and hope to win their biggest title yet.
