After their storming win in China, Mercedes AMG Petronas team have had two relatively difficult weekends in Bahrain and Spain. Here is what their drivers hope for before the Monaco Grand Prix weekend gets under way.
Michael Schumacher is quite confident for this weekend as he feels that the nature of the track should suit his Mercedes. This is primarily because the track involves a lot of low to medium speed corners, which are the strenghts of Mercedes W03. Michael is equally determined to push even harder after the five place grid penalty that he had to take for this race.
Nico Rosberg also feels that the nature of track should suit Mercedes but has emphasised that tyre management is going to be crucial. With five different winners in five races he feels that ten drivers have a chance to win this year’s Grand Prix which make a perfect recipe for die hard F1 fans.
Last year Mercedes team left Monaco without a single point as Michael Schumacher retired with mechanical problems and Nico Rosberg finished outside the top 10. This year the team hopes to collect decent points as consistency is going to be the key in this unpredictable 2012 F1 season.
Ross brawn, Mercedes Team Prinicpal is confident about Monaco Grand prix as he feels that the updates that the team had brought for Spain are going to come into effect and will improve the performance of the W03.
