After a disappointing season, Manchester United will be looking forward to bolster their squad for the next season. With the Euro and Olympics in the midst, they have quite some time to do it. Here is a look at the top five players they should sell and buy this summer.

# 5 – Sell – Dimitar Berbatov

Let’s face it. Despite how talented the Bulgarian is, his time at Old Trafford is over. It looks almost certain that Berbatov will leave this summer. Berbatov has all the talents to fulfill his price tag but his pace and acceleration doesn’t match United’s style of play. So, unfortunately, he spent most of his time at the bench.

Replace with – Erick Torres

Erick Torres will be a great 4th Striker for United

Manchester United desperately need a quality 4th striker who could be effective. Two years back, they made a calculated gamble buying Javier Hernandez from Mexican Club Chivas de Guadalajara and that payed off handsomely. Now, there is yet another talent at that same club by the name of Erick Torres. He has already scored 13 goals in 44 appearances for his club and he is only 19. He could be valuable at Old Trafford.

# 4 – Sell – Bebe

Brought for around 9 million Euros, Bebe is a total disaster. Sir Alex Ferguson apparently never saw Bebe play beforehand and whilst he played for United, he never looked like first-league material. Bebe doesn’t deserve to stay at Man United and he should be offloaded now.

Replace with – Shinji Kagawa

Kagawa is on the verge of signing for United

Man United are already lining up a bid for this Winger from Japan. With 21 goals in just 49 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, Kagawa is already gathering loads of interest from various clubs. If United sign him, he will prove to be a great hit at England given his talents and pace.

# 3 – Paul Scholes

It was a shock to most Football fans when Paul Scholes came out of retirement. It was even more shocking when he produced match winning performances. But, let us be fair. Scholes is 37 years old, you can possible linger with him for one more season but there is no way in hell that you can “expect” him to perform.

Replace with – Claudio Marchisio

United must find a replacement for Scholes

Recent reports suggest that Man United are interested in Marchisio. He is better defensively than all of United’s current crop of midfielders put together. He is very good playing box-to-box and is a genuine goal threat. In retrospect, one could view him as a replica of Paul Scholes. He is a midfielder who could attack and defend with ease.

# 2 – Sell – Anderson

Injuries, prolonged lack of form and temperament could be the words that define Anderson in a clear way. Sir Alex Ferguson has given the Brazilian enough chances to prove himself and he hasn’t made it count. It is surely time for Anderson to leave.

Replace With – Wesley Sneijder

Will the transfer finally take place?

Okay. Certainly not a “replace” candidate for Anderson.

Sneijder is true class and he would bolster the Man United squad to a great extent. The deal somehow fell through last summer and United must do anything to bring Sneijder home this time around. He will fill that gap in the middle of the park and win balls that Man United are not doing now.

# 1 – Sell – Park Ji-Sung

Park Ji-Sung has been a loyal servant to the club for more than seven years now. Despite having the lungs to stay fresh for 90 minutes on the park, his lack of imagination is a huge worry. Sir Alex entrusts the South Korean in big games but Park somehow doesn’t have the spark in him to provide the goods anymore.

Replace With – Eden Hazard

Hazard will bolster United's chances

He could well be the replacement to Cristiano Ronaldo that Man United never found. Aged only 21 with full of pace and energy, Hazard matches the notions that Sir Alex looks for in young players. But the trouble is that at least 4-5 other clubs including Man City and Chelsea are looking to sign Hazard. Will Sir Alex convince Hazard to sign for United? We have to wait and see.
