Eden Hazard to sign for Chelsea

So it seems that a Champions League win has persuaded Eden Hazard to come and sign for Chelsea. Hazard has confirmed on his Twitter account tonight that he has decided to “join the Champions League winner” and has turned his back on Manchester.

The diminutive attacking midfielder will join the Blues in £32 million deal from former French champions Lille. Hazard is also reported to have agreed to a massive £9 million a year deal, which would roughly equate to about £170,000 a week.

Now for all the talk of this kid, I have to admit I haven’t seen a lot of him. Joe Cole believes that he could be become “One of the best in the world” so I thought I would take a look at him.

In further developments, Chelsea have refused to confirm the Eden Hazard transfer in a statement to the Associated Press. Chelsea’s statement to Associated Press: “As with all transfers, when we have something to announce we will announce it in the usual way”.

There has been no news on the official site of the Blues confirming the news either, but the general consensus has been that a deal has been agreed and only minor technicalities are being ironed out.
