The McLaren team is set to hold a ‘crisis meeting’ on Tuesday to discuss their recent loss in form. The team finds itself too often in the midfield with their home race in Silverstone being another disappointing one. Both Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button have significantly lost pace despite having scored two race victories (combined) this season. While bad pit stops were something that really needed to be worked on within the McLaren team, Hamilton has said he is not happy about the car’s nose either.
Hamilton has dropped down to fourth in the Championship and Button is a disappointing eighth. The McLaren team even finds itself behind Lotus in the Constructors’ standings as the Lotus team has moved up to third.
The results are worrying the team and they decided to have a meeting at Woking. Button commented: “It is going to be a somber one, but I am sure everyone is going to be very aggressive about trying to improve this car.”
