It’s the club where every footballer wants to be and Barcelona wouldn’t have much difficulty in signing any player they want.
Here’s a breakdown at the leading players who are said to be on the Barca radar
David Luiz – CHELSEA
Barcelona is desperate for a defender and are linked with Chelsea’s Brazilian star. He is the player who got more skill in attack rather than defending, but Luiz only moved to Chelsea a year back so this transfer is unlikely to happen
Gareth Bale – TOTTENHAM
Left-back maybe the position that gives Barca the headache and who better to kill the pain than the Welshman. Rumours of him moving to Spain have been heard since the start of 2011. He captured the eye of every top scout in Europe after his superb performance against inter Milan in the champions league and he is a player who is worth the money. Since he recently signed a contract extension with Spurs, it is impossible to prise away the player from Villas-Boas.
Javi Martinez – ATHLETICO BILBAO
Martinez was brilliant last season and he’s been attracting attention from the two Manchester teams as well as Bayern Munich. But the Spaniard is most likely to stay in Spain after Barcelona was rumoured to launch a 28 million deal to capture the player.
Etienne Capoue – TOULOUSE
Not many are familiar with this name, but the young Toulouse midfielder is highly rated in France. And also by the best SCOUT in the world Arsene Wenger. The only competition Barcelona are facing to capture his signature is from Arsenal, but with the North-London club already making two big signings, the French midfielder will head to Spain if Barcelona decides to bid for him.
Yohan Cabaye – NEWCASTLE
This was one of the most shocking romours that we came across during this summer. Barcelona had reportedly launched a 8 million bid for the French star who had an average Euro outing. Well if they do bid for him, Cabaye wouldn’t hesitate to put his signature on the paper.
