Sources very close to Manchester City‘s management have revealed that Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez is all but ready to seal a move to Milan over the coming week. The source revealed that should the Tevez deal not fall through, then Edin Dzeko might be moving to Milan, but it seems that Tevez is very keen on an Italian challenge.
The potential departures of Edin Dzeko and Carlos Tevez have opened up the path for Manchester City to make their £30million bid for Robin van Persie, which has been on the cards for quite some time now. However, if the mill is supposed to be believed, then City will not have it easy even in the transfer market as Sir Alex Ferguson is also said to be interested in coaxing the Dutch star to move to Old Trafford.
Paris Saint-German have started making inroads into the transfer world. Sources state that the French club have completed the acquisition of the defender from AC Milan on a five-year contract, reportedly paying a transfer fee of €42 million to the Italian giants for the Brazilian’s services. It remains to be seen if they can lure Zlatan Ibrahimovic as well.
Real Madrid players are assuming Tottenham’s Luka Modric will be joining them next season. Manager Jose Mourinho has made the £35million midfielder his top priority, and Spain defender Alvaro Arbeloa, amongst many of his other team mates, said: ‘I’m glad he is joining Real.’
The praise for Modric from the Madrid players echoes similar sentiments shown for Cesc Fabregas last summer, when Barcelona players repeatedly lauded the midfielder before his departure from the Emirates.
