Manchester United are in talks with midfielder

According to the latest transfer speculations, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is in talks with much wanted Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen over a potential move to Old Trafford. Aside from Manchester United, the Denmark international has also attracted the interest of fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

Christian Eriksen kick started his footballing days with Odense Boldklub before the lavishly gifted young player agreed to sign with Eredivisie side Ajax of Amsterdam in the autumn of 2008. Since his arrival at the Amsterdam Arena, the combative and energetic midfield play-maker has managed to rack up 76 league appearances for The Amsterdammers.

Sir Alex Ferguson: “Christian Eriksen is a typical Ajax player who is good on the ball. We have many young players at the club, but we are always looking for talent.”
