Good afternoon, folks. It’s my aim to keep you guys updated on the latest Liverpool FC news over the next 40 seconds or so, and I plan to keep you guys from going to sleep whilst doing so.
And to start things off, why, oh why, are we interested in Theo Walcott? I seriously ask the question. I understand one thing, this being that Liverpool need pace on the wings. That one I get, so I can see where Rodgers is going with this one. However, Walcott’s game is quite simply almost ONLY about pace. I know I might be given some stick for that comment, but I view him as just a Mark Gonzalez with just that bit more in the game (yeah, you remember him, the player that Rafael Benitez bought).
Furthermore, the price tag of 15 million pounds is just astounding, really, and unless Liverpool get him for a fee of roughly around 7-10 million pounds, I would prefer that Liverpool stay away from him. I understand why he WOULD be interested in coming though, apparently he was a boyhood Liverpool FC fan, so I guess maybe due to that passion we could get him for slightly cheaper (if you count his wages as well). Plus, he might actually just be what Liverpool need right now, as unlike Downing, Walcott has that pace to get past his man. So if we can get him on the cheap, I really won’t be complaining. Especially if you consider that he is into his last year of his Arsenal contract, Liverpool should really not break the bank for the Englishman.
In other news, Andy Carroll is in demand everywhere except Liverpool apparently. From Aston Villa to Newcastle United, all the mid-table clubs really seem to be interested in our front man. Newcastle seem like the ones at the head of the queue, being in ‘real’ negotiations with the Reds over a potential loan move for the lanky Englishman back to Tyneside.
What I will say is, if the loan move is happening, make it for a season or less, with no negotiated fees given for the team to make a choice over come the end of his loan spell. It is just not what I want to see – Liverpool losing money.
But I honestly think that Rodgers should at least wait until pre-season is done and dusted before deciding what to do with Carroll. After all, there is this great saying that would go perfectly with the Carroll saying, this being “Practice puts to rest any doubts that theory creates” or something along those lines. I just don’t want to see the Englishman go away without being given a real chance at Anfield.
In other news, our youngster Suso has managed to lead Spain to a U19 European Championship victory, with a fine performance against Greece in the final, check out highlights below!

I do not understand why LFC are trying go cash upon Andy… He s a lot better player now than last season. I think he proved it in Euros… I wish Carroll stays with us..
