VALKENBURG, Netherlands (AFP) –
Gold medalist Oskar Svendsen (centre) of Norway celebrates on the podium at the end of the men’s Junior Time Trial of the UCI Road World Championships in Valkenburg. Svendsen has won the junior time-trial title at the world road championships.
Norway’s Oskar Svendsen has won the junior time-trial title at the world road championships here on Monday.
The 18-year-old finished 7 seconds ahead of Slovenia’s Matej Mohoric with Germany’s Maximilian Schachmann third 11sec off the pace after the 26.6km race.
Defending champion Mads Schmidt of Denmark finished eighth.
