Jose Mourinho has popped up in the news frequently this last week. While most of it was to do with Ronaldo’s ‘sadness’ or Real’s La Liga woes, it finally seems the poor guy’s had enough of it.
The libel case is to do with Marca describing him as “the typical character that would take off after causing an outrage”.
Mourinho has already been called as a ‘Nazi Portuguese’ by another Spanish journalist, and that too has landed in court. But the best yet is, again Marca’s, “Mourinho prostitutes Real Madrid`s history” comments.
Jack Wilshere is back in training, albeit with a protective glass box enclosing him.
The midfielder hasn’t played in over a year, thanks to an ankle injury, followed by a stress fracture. And so protective Wenger is of the 20 year old that he is not willing to let the player even think about a complete return till November.
Such has been Wilshere’s fragile nature and Wenger’s concern that Arsenal have banned anyone from tackling him and used the glass box as an extra precaution.
It is understood the box was patented by Manchester United during Michael Owen’s time at the club, and they gifted it to Arsene Wenger as a gift for the Robin van Persie transfer.
Abramovich is back!
After a brief hiatus, Abramovich is back on the pitch and in our news stories, as reports fly about an alleged outburst on Chelsea players.
According to the Daily Mail, Abramovich demanded answers from players and coaches alike during a training session a day after the Juventus match, when they blew a two-goal lead.
What does Di Matteo do then, we wonder. It was exactly this kind of behavior that forced Mourinho to quit and we at the Mumble think it won’t be much longer before Abramovich takes up the job full-time!
We have all heard about fairy tales of footballers who rise from the depths of obscurity to become big names in the footballing world. But Moussa Dembele takes this ‘fairy tale’ obsession to a very literal level, by announcing himself as the Popeye of White Hart Lane.
And all because of his mum’s spinach pancakes.
Going by this logic, is Wayne Rooney the ‘Wimpy’ of Old Trafford, we wonder?
Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has closed his Twitter account, after being racially abused for his performance against Juventus.
It was his misplaced pass that led to Juventus’ equaliser and Chelsea fans vented their anger at him online, which has now reportedly led to an FA inquiry about the incident.
First Abramovich’s outburst and now this. Keep an eye out for the news because this Chelsea drama is not about to end anytime soon. We can rely on their recent history for that!
