Slovenian Matej Mohoric ended a run of two successive French champions by winning the junior men’s road race world title here on Sunday.

The 17-year-old – who won silver in the time-trial last Monday – beat home Australian Caleb Ewan while Croatian Josep Rumac took the bronze medal at the end of the 129 kilometres race round eight laps.
