Dear Gunners,

Thanks for such a fast reply. Honestly, I had expected such a reply from your end, but still it saddened my heart. It was disheartening, not because you thwarted my genuine efforts to help you rise from your ashes but to see that the IMMORTALS have been reduced to mere mortals.

Back in the days of yore, I would never have expected to see you cry so loud in the public about what “may have been yours and was stolen by the bigger bully”. You too were once a man and stood up to take what you want (like we took RVP). Last season, you used to sing, “We score when we want”, and now you rely on own goals from the opposition to kick start your season. What a fall, I may say!

Your golden days are so long gone that it seems you have forgotten the perils of being a Champion. Allow me to remind you of one of them, “there will always be critics”. So while lamenting the bus was only to be expected, it did not make anyone any lesser of a Champion. You say we win on narrow margins and red cards. I urge you to go down memory lane and remember the beating you received when you last attempted to breach my sacred home, OT.

You, like many others, say that referees favor us. All I have to say on it is that it is a figment of your imagination. If you don’t believe me, look up who gave our noisy neighbors their first penalty of the current season. Referees give bad decisions all the time, sometimes in our favor and often against us. As for the allegations, all I can say is you guys have a really vivid imagination.

As for the earlier letter, I would like to say, don’t take it too seriously, it was a practical joke. The Glazers have given me a big gift this summer and while I train my own young brigade like Cleverly and Macheda, I promise to continue to “feed” off your “home grown” talent for the years to come.

Always in your face,

The Red Devils.
