These are the stats from the official website of UEFA for the Champions League 2012-13 season. Here, the statistics are given for the number of passes attempted, completed and the successful completion rate. The figures are updated till the date : 02/10/2012 ; 23:26 CET.
And in the table, Arsenal is seen lying way below in the 25th position. I can’t figure out why its called a passing team.
With total attempted passes at 509 and a successful completion rate of just 74%, Arsenal is way below the likes of Barcelona, Bayern and Manchester United.

Indrajit Rajtilak Joined 0 pointsDid you bother factoring in the number of games played? These are total passes made. Clearly Chelsea, Barca & Bayern made it a lot further in UCL than Arsenal.
