The world’s fastest; Usain Bolt is working hard to outcast his own world record of 200m category sprint in upcoming season of 2014. These days, there are no scheduled events and competitions to distract the superstar from Jamaica to focus on revised goals.

Bolt and his coach have plans to do their homework in this phase, with full focus to achieve a new milestone. Bolt has been recently awarded as the IAAF male World Athlete on 16th November, 2013. He has won this award for the fifth time.

The 27-year old Jamaican star has switched his agenda from gaining records to preparation for the year 2013 as a change in strategy. He mentioned during his visit to the Olympic stadium in Tokyo about increasing the efficiency and the inputs from him and his coach to make him run faster in reference to the 200m sprint. He is clearly aiming for the former world record in 200m run and expects this session to be free from injuries. He registered the current 200m World record and even the 100m World record in 2009 during Berlin World championship.

Some days back, the Jamaican stated to reconsider his retirement after Rio Olympics 2016. He also expressed his wish to retire in 2017 in spite of his coach expecting him to go beyond that. He assured about his association with the track even after he retires. Keeping confidence in himself, Bolt talked about the important ingredients to make things happen include hard work, dedication, and talent and most importantly focus.

He also praised the recent achievements of the French sprinter, Christophe Lemaitre, who managed to reach a less than 10 seconds mark in 100m run. He concluded that a blend of time management, work and focus enables one to reach the highest levels.
