Vikas Gowda clinches Gold at the 2015 Asian Athletics Championships

The 31-year-old Mysore-born athlete has had a very good 2015 so far. He won the bronze at the IAAF Diamond League that were held in Shanghai in May with a throw of 63.90m and also clinched the Triton Invitational, prior to that, that were being played at San Diego with an effort of 65.75m and a few days, before winning the event, had qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

This is Gowda’s second consecutive Gold at the Asian Athletics Championships. He had finished on top of the podium in the 2013 edition of the Championships as well, held in Pune with an effort of 64.90m.
