2015 Korea Open Superseries: Schedule for Indian players on Thursday

Kidambi Srikanth will be in action

The main draw of the 2015 Korea Open Superseries will commence in Seoul from Wednesday. The Indian contingent at the tournament will be led by Kidambi Srikanth in the Men’s Singles category, PV Sindhu in the Women’s Singles and Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa.

India didn't have the greatest of times at the Japan Open Superseries last week, where barring Parupalli Kashyap, none of the other players could progress through to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Kashyap and Srikanth will square off against Wei Nan of Hong Kong and China respectively. The other two Men’s Singles contenders, HS Prannoy and Ajaya Jayaram will have more difficult opposition to counter as they will up against Chou Tien Chen and Viktor Axelson respectively in the opening round.

PV Sindhu will have the biggest test of the day as she will take on the number 3 seed Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand. The other Women’s Doubles pairing inthe fray Pradnya Gadre and Sikki Reddy will also be in action and they will be playing Shizuka Matsuo and Mami Naito of Japan.
