After a successful outing in Canada, the action now shifts to the United States of America for the start of the US Open Grand Prix Gold in California this week.

Sai Praneeth, the reigning Canadian Open champion will once again be seen in action and will be joined by HS Prannoy, Ajay Jayaram, Harsheel Dani, Pratul Joshi, Anand pawar and RMV Gurusaidutt.

Ruthvika Shivani Gadde, will have another chance to impress the badminton community as she had done so at the Uber Cup and joining in the Women’s Singles will be Tanvi Lad, who will also hope to put in a good show over the course of the week.

Fresh opff their win in the Canada Open, the Men’s Doubles pairing of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy will look to win their second consecutive crown and gain further momentum ahead of Rio 2016.

However, they will not be the only Men’s Doubles duo as ASkshay Dewalkar and Pranaav Jerry Chopra will also take to the courts, hoping to get the second half of the season off to a good start.

Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa will also not be competing in this event, which is likely to be the last stop before the commencement of Rio Olympics next month.
