2015 Dutch Open Grand Prix: Ajay Jayaram wins final by beating Raul Must in straight sets

Ajay Jayaram retains his Dutch Open title

Indian badminton ace Ajay Jayaram beat Estonian Raul Must 21-12, 21-18 in straight sets to retain his Dutch Open title. The 28-year-old took about 34 minutes to dispatch his 48th-ranked opponent.

The first game saw the Indian well ahead of his rival and end it with a massive 21-12 score. Jayaram scored 4 consecutive points as compared to Must’s 2 and secured 2 game points, while his rival scored none.

Must seemed more determined in the second set, as he matched the 25th-ranked Indian in most consecutve points scored, with 4. Jayaram once again outmatched his obstinate opponent to secure a game point and ended the match by winning the set 21-18.

This is Ajay Jayaram’s first title of the year, after his loss to Chen Long in the final of the Korea Open Super Series in September.
