India’s last hope K Srikanth bowed out on Day 4 of the Malaysian Open

The Indian challenge has come to an end at the Maybank Malaysia Open 2014 on Day 4 of the tournament. India’s only remaining hope K. Srikanth has exited the tournament at the quarterfinal stage.

In the Putra Stadium World, 4th-ranked Indonesian Tommy Suagiarto outclassed World No. 38 K. Srikanth by the score of 21-10, 21-15. The match lasted for only 36 minutes.

Srikanth’s performance is the only bright spot for India in the tournament as all the other top stars, including Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and Parupalli Kashyap, failed miserably.
