PV Sindhu in action

The Premier Badminton League has seen all of India’s top players in action for different franchises and one player who has been a cut above the rest throughout the Group stages of the competition has been PV Sindhu, who ended the round robin leg with a straight game win over Suo Di of the Bengaluru TopGuns on Wednesday,

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda after her win, the 20-year-old reflected on her exploits, looked ahead to the semifinal on Thursday and had a message for her fans.

Excerpts:

On her own performance in the tournament: I think it was good and I am really very happy that we qualified for the semifinals and I think our whole team really played well and I think tomorrow also we are going to give a good performance.

Facing the Delhi Acers in the semifinals: I am quite confident, but at the same time you can't take it easy because it is a 15-point game format and I think each point is very important for everyone and because it is a semifinal, it becomes, even more crucial.

A message to the fans for their amazing support for the team: I am really thankful to the fans, they have really supported us a lot and also some of the Bengaluru fans were supporting the Smashers and I also want to thank my teammates for encouraging me and also my team owners, franchises also. They all have done a great job as well.
