PV Sindhu enters final of the Malaysian Grand Prix Gold

PV Sindhu has got here 2016 of to a good start so far

PV Sindhu continued her fine run at the 2016 Malaysia Grand Prix Gold defeating Sung Ji-Hyun 21-19 12-21 21-10 in the semi-final of the competition on Saturday.

The 20-year-old began the match on a positive note, taking a 2-0 lead before came back to win 6 out of the next 10 points to level the score at 6-6 and then took an 8-6 lead at the interval mark. However, it was the Indian who took control after the break. winning 7 points straight from the 11-11 mark to go 18-11 up and despite a fine late surge from Sung, clinched the game 21-19.

The second game saw Sung come storming back into the contest as she raced away to a 7-2 lead in the game and then at the 10-10, took total control of proceedings, winning 11 out of the next 13 points to seal the game 21-12.

The decider proved to be a completely one-sided affair from the word go as Sindhu absolutely raced away to a commanding lead over her opponent, providing no openings whatsoever and won the game 21-10 to book her place on Sunday.
