RMV Gurusaidutt lost in straight games

India’s RMV Gurusaidutt crashed out of the opening round of the 2015 Chinese Taipei Open, after losing Shesar Rhustavito of Indonesia 23-21 21-17 in the opening round on Wednesday.

Game 1 saw a topsy-turvy beginning, but at the 4-4 mark, it was the Indonesian, who took the lead, winning 3 points straight to go 7-4 up. The Indian, though, got the lead back, thanks to a 5 -point streak to got 8-7 up.

following that, both players continued to exchange leads, until at the 20-18 mark, where Gurusaidutt won three points consecutively to go 21-20 up and seal a match point. But unfortunately for the Indian, Rhustavito won three points on the trot after that, to take the game 23-21.

Despite, that close loss, Gurusaidutt began on a positive note in the second game, racing away to a 7-2 lead, but the Indonesian came roaring back into the contest, first winning 5 points straight to tie the game at 7-7. Both players then exchanged leads until the 11-11 mark, when the Indonesian began taking control of the match, winning points continuously and putting pressure on his opponent. He eventually sealed the game and the match to knock Gurusaidutt out.
