Here are the results of the Semi-final clashes of various categories:

Men’s Singles Category:

In the first semi-final match of the category, Long Chen extended his winning streak. The Chinese smasher defeated Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk from Thailand in a two-game match. Chen took away the first game by 21-18. He continued his spirited form in the second game also and won the game 21-13 to enter the Finals.

In the other semi-final of the category, the Malaysian smasher Chong Wei Lee crushed the World No.3 Pengyu Du from China in a tough encounter. It was Pengyu Du who won the first game by 22-20. But Lee replied back strongly and took away the second game comfortably by 21-6. In the final game of the match, Lee continued his dominating performance on the court and snatched the third-game by 21-15 to book his berth in the Finals.

Women’s Singles Category:

Ji Hyun Sung kept the Korean hopes alive in the category by defeating the seventh-seeded Shixian Wang from China in the first semi-final of the category. Sung registered a convincing victory by 21-19 and 21-14 in a 48-minute clash.

Chinese smasher Yihan Wang ended Thai opportunity by defeating the second-seeded Ratchanok Intanon. After losing the first game 21-23, Wang returned back strongly and clinched the second-game closely by 21-19. In the decisive third-game of the match, Wang didn’t let the Thai shuttler overcome her and took away the game by 21-17.

Men’s Doubles Category:

The Indonesian pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan crushed the Japanese duo of Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa in the first semi-final clash of the category. The Indonesians kept their calm in both the closely fought games and won the match by 27-25 and 23-21 to take the Indonesian challenge to the Finals of the category.

In the second semi-final of the category, the Korean pair of Yong Dae Lee and Yeon Seong Yoo defeated the hosts easily. The Danish pair of Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen, lost by 18-21 and 13-21 in a 41-minute match.

Women’s Doubles Category:

In the first semi-final of the category, the Chinese duo of Yixin Bao and Jinhua Tang managed to defeat the Japanese pair of Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi. Even after losing the first-game by 19-21, the Chinese pair didn’t bow down and clinched the next two games by 21-15 and 21-15. The match lasted for 70-minutes.

In the second semi-final of the category, the pair of Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl kept the Danish hopes alive in the tournament. The Danish pair was successful in defeating the Japanese pair of Reika Kakiiwa and Miyuki Maeda. The Danish pair won the first game by 21-17. In the second game, the Japanese duo answered strongly and crushed the Danish pair by 7-21. In the final game, it was hosts’ turn to take the charge and pummel the opponents by 21-8 to book their spot in the Finals.

Mixed Doubles Category:

The Danish pair of Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen was lost against the Chinese pair in the second semi-final of the category. The Chinese pair of Nan Zhang and Yunlei Zhao registered a comfortable victory by 21-18 and 21-15 in a 44-minute clash.

The Chinese pair of Chen Xu and Jin Ma was defeated by the Indonesian opponents in the first semi-final of the category. The Indonesian couple of Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir took away the match in two-games by 21-11 and 21-18.
