2016 NBA Conference Finals: Irving, James help Cavs get off to a winning start

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving played a key role to help the Cavs get off to a good start

After the Thunder inflicted a stunning loss on the Warriors, the 2015 runners-up Cleveland Cavaliers had no such hiccups as they inflicted an 115-84 loss over the Toronto Raptors at the Quicken Loans Arena in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Kyrie Irving starred for the Cavaliers with 27 points on the night and was well supported by LeBron James with 24 points as the duo helped their side get off to the ideal start in the Finals.

DeMar DeRozan was the star for the Raptors, who are competing in their maiden Eastern Conference Finals, with 18 points and Bismack Biyombo netted 12 points but it didn’t prove to be enough.

Both teams will be put up at the same venue for Game 2 of the Finals that is slated to take place on Thursday(Early Friday morning for Indian viewers).
