China and Japan enter final of women's FIBA ASIA under-18

Asian women’s basketball powerhouses China and Japan entered the final of the 22nd edition of the FIBA ASIA U18 championship for women at Jordan.

In the all East Asian semifinal, China defeated Chinese Taipei 80 – 52 to enter their 11th successive Final of the FIBA ASIA U18 Championship for women. China took all the quarters 17 – 14, 18 – 16, 23 – 17 & 22 – 5 to defeat Chinese Taipei and enter the final of the 22nd edition of the championship.

In another semifinal, Japan defeated Korea 83 – 50 to set title clash date with China. Japan took all quarters 20 – 11, 18 – 15, 17 – 15 & 19 – 9 respectively to enter the final of the championship.

With their entry to the title match, both China and Japan book their ticket to the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women to be played in Russia.

Chinese Taipei and Korea will play for the third place and most importantly for a ticket to the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women to be played in Russia.
