The effects of technology have already begun to see light in the world of basketball. After several developments in apparel and equipment, Nike has finally ventured into infrastructure. Named as the ‘House of Mamba’, Niike opened the first LED basketball court in Shanghai, China.

Developed with the help of AQKA, the court uses motion-tracking as wel as reactive LED visualisation to help players improve through various creative and interactive training drills. Kobe Bryant’s personal training regimen can be implemented on the court, helping athletes to reach the level of the 2008 NBA MVP.

As a part of the NIKE RISE tour, Bryant travelled throughout China in the summer. He trained with 30 lucky athletes on the magnificent LED court. The video itself blew our mind and we can only imagine what it would be like to step onto the House of Mamba. Take a look at this amazing piece of technology, artistically brought about on a basketball court.
