NBA is the highest paid league in the world ahead of the likes of the IPL and Premier League

The English Premier League, the Indian Premier League and the Bundesliga might be few of the more popular leagues in the world but none of them can offer the salaries that the NBA does.

Under the ownership of Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Manchester City have been able to pay their players an average annual salary of $8.1 million. But considering the league as a whole, the NBA pays a higher average salary than any other league in the world.

On an average, players in the NBA received a salary of $4.5 million last year which was more than what the players in the hugely popular Indian Premier League received.

Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the National Football League are the other leagues in America which made it to the top 15 in a list based on data collected by SportingIntelligence.com
