NBA: LeBron James No. 1 in jersey sales for season; Chicago Bulls top selling team

LeBron James once again topped the jersey sales for players this season.

As the season comes to a close, NBA in its official release announced the top selling player and team jerseys for the season. LeBron James, for the sixth time in his 11 year career, topped the player jersey sales. Meanwhile the baby faced assasin and MVP frontrunner Stephen Curry retained his second position from last year’s sales. Kobe Bryant (No. 3), reigning MVP Kevin Durant and former MVP Derrick Rose round up the top 5.

A big news maker was John Wall. Wall’s jersey ranked 13th amongest most sold, this was the first time the Washington Wizards guard cracked the rankings since his rookie season (2010-11). Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder failed to make any strides forward as he remained in 12th position, same as last year.

While James continued to reign over the players’ jersey sales, it’s a different story when it comes to teams. Chicago Bulls finished on top of the teams’ merchandise sales for the first time since 2011. The Bulls are followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers in second, the Golden State Warriors at third, the Los Angeles Lakers at 4th and the Oklahoma City Thunder at 5th.
