NBA's "Logo" wants a change, Steph Curry lobs from halfcourt for an alley (video)

Jerry West’s nickname was “The Logo”

Only the most hardcore NBA fans probably know this – the player behind NBA’s iconic logo. The person to whom the silhouette belongs is Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry Alan West. He spent his whole career with the Lakers, an impressive fourteen years from 1960 to 1974.

The 1972 NBA Champion and 1969 Finals MVP who was immortalised in 1969, feels that the torch could pass to another. And he has the perfect torchbearer to take over from him – Michael Jordan.

West told The Score, “I hate to say it's not a Laker, but Michael Jordan. He's been the greatest player I've ever seen. And I'm probably a harsh judge of talent in the sense that I admire players that are really good defensive players and really good offensive players. And I felt that at his time in the game, he was the best defensive player in the game, but more importantly he was the best offensive player. And he made his teams win."

Many consider Jordan the Greatest of all Time but are two monumental symbols – the other being Air Jordan – a bit much for the six-time NBA Champion? We believe agreeing to disagree would be the most sensible resolution to that debate.

A possible replacement?

STEPH CURRY LOBS UNDER-HANDED FROM HALF COURT TO ANDRE IGUODALA FOR AN ALLEY-OOP

Reigning Champions Golden State Warriors’ Point Guard Steph Curry’s prowess on the court is redoubtable. Last season’s Most Valuable Player earned that title with his sharpshooting, his ankle-breakers and his stewardship of the Bay Area team. But it seems like one-half of the Splash Brothers has stored a few more tricks up his sleeve, one of which he pulled out in the pre-season game against the LA Lakers:

Finals MVP Andre Iguodala’s “raising the roof” gesture was hardly necessary, as the crowd would’ve needed no instigation to go wild at the ridiculous play.
