Saipal Academy “A” and Trinity International College have won the second Saipal Inter-college 3×3 Basketball Championship in the girls’ and boys’ sections respectively at Kathmandu, Nepal.
Saipal Academy “A” defeated their “B” team 19-15 in the girls’ final to lift the trophy while Morgan International College finished third after defeating Galaxy College. In the boys’ final, Trinity International College thumped VS Niketan College 17-8 to lift the title.
Earlier in the boys’ semifinals, VS Niketan College had defeated CCR college 21-20 and Trinity International College had defeated GGIC college 17-15 to enter the final. Meanwhile in the girls’ category, Saipal Academy “A” defeated Morgan International College 19-15 and Saipal B beat Galaxy College 21-17 to enter the final.
A total of 24 teams in the boys’ category and 18 teams in the girls’ category took part in the second edition of the championship. Organizers and officials from Nepal Basketball Association gave away prizes to the winners.
