Pools unveiled for FIBA 3x3 World Championships

The pools have been unveiled for the 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Championships for Men and Women which are scheduled to be held from 5 to 8 June 2014 in Luzhniki Park in Moscow, Russia.

35 countries (48 teams - 24 men’s and 24 women’s) are participating in the 2014 edition of the 3×3 World Championships. Out of the 35 countries, 18 countries will make their debut in the tournament. Serbia and USA are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.

In both the categories, the 24 teams will be divided into four groups of six teams and will play a round-robin system leading to a single elimination phase including eighth-finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. An additional four individual competitions will be staged in Moscow: dunk competition for men, skills competition for women, shoot-out competition mixed and free-throw pursuit mixed.
