Qatar men’s national basketball team lifted the title of the 14th GCC Basketball Championship defeating Bahrain 86 – 63 in the last round robin match.
The championship was played in round-robin format. Qatar remain unbeaten in the championship as they also defeated Kuwait (78 - 53), Oman (75 - 49) UAE (71 - 53) and KSA (71 - 66) to claim the title.
With lifting the GCC championship, Qatar confirmed their ticket to the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship to be held in China.
Six GCC teams including hosts KSA, defending champions Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman participated in the 14th edition of the Championship which was held from 13 – 20 October 2014 in Saudi Arabia.
