South Asian Basketball giant India is not participating in the first South Asian 3×3 Men’s Basketball Championship which is all set to start in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 15th April 2014. After India’s withdrawal from the regional 3×3 men’s competition, only 5 teams – Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal – are participating in the inaugural edition of this championship. The top three basketball teams of South Asia – India, Afghanistan and Pakistan – are not participating in the maiden edition of the championship.
The competition will be played in a league format with all five participating teams playing each other.
